About our Company

Feather Creative & AUS-TV International are specialist service providers to international producers wishing to easily shoot within Australia. We enable you to effectively run as a branch of your own production company through our company in Australia with an accounting service and a full production network in operation, so that all you have to do is arrive and proceed into production.

Our Goal is to Save You Money

We aim to save you money by our professional service, crew and facility connections thereby enabling you to cash in on the very competitive Australian dollar exchange rate. On average, US dollar productions save around 30% on the production compared to it being produced in their home territory.

How We Do This

Let us have your estimated overseas budget, we will match it to like locations and run your budget in Australian dollars. We then provide a co-production/production management service with open books that enable you to see all the dollar outgoings. It is like running your own production through our sub office in Australia.

Our Fee Structure

We operate on a strict cost plus critera, a flat rate of 20% is charged on all items of production. This in conjunction with our open budget operation ensures that you always know where your dollar is being allocated. All local fees on crew and talent are per normal scales though we only use the best technicians and link with the best in equipment facilities and post production houses.

In order for us to supply this service we operate on the payment schedule outlined below. Budget comparisons and initial inquiries are performed free of charge.

1. Pre-production requires the quoted pre-production budget plus the 20% service fee to be lodged into the respective FCAG or AUS-TV company account. Upon either written or verbal agreement this payment must be submitted 5 working days before the commencement of official pre-production or we would be unable to proceed.

2. Progress to production requires the quoted production budget plus the 20% service fee to be lodged into the respective FCAG or AUS-TV company account also 5 days prior to the commencement of production. Should the overseas producer be returning abroad for post production then before masters leave the country any extras in budget schedules with the additional 20% will be paid prior to the TVC’s masters being released to the client.

3. Progress to post production requires the quoted post production budget plus the 20% service fee to be lodged into the respective FCAG or AUS-TV company account also 5 days prior to the commencement of post production. At the conclusion of post production again any extras in budget are to be paid with the additional 20% service fee before masters will be released to the overseas producer.

4. Should an overseas client be operating on a very short production schedule then all monies may be required to be deposited into the respective FCAG or AUS-TV accounts prior to commencement of the TVC. This fee will include all budget items and the company service fee. At the close of the production all fees will have to be finalized before the release of masters to the client.

5. We will refund to the client any costs that have been saved from the original quoted budget. This will be done within 72 hours of the close of production.

Government Charges

A government imposed Goods & Services Tax (GST) is added to the cost of production. Any other government charges will be worked into the production budget and the client will be responsible for these items as per normal production costs.

Insurances

All insurance coverage will be the responsibility of the international producer who must provide certified copies of current Public Liability insurance from their home country and endorsed to indemnify FCAG or AUS-TV from any and all liability arising from the production. Coverage must be for not less than AU$20,000,000.00. Any additional insurance premiums shall be absorbed into the production budget and the client will be responsible for these items as per normal production costs.

Cancellation Fees

We are bound by various cancellation fees as set forth by our suppliers, therefore payment schedules, booking agreements with facilities, talent and equipment will be sometimes require earlier payments. In these cases they will be raised with the international producer and the budget adjusted appropriately.

Weather Contingency

Weather cancellations and costs incurred are at the overseas production companies cost as are any extras in budget items due to either unforeseen circumstance, creative decision alteration to schedule, incorrect creative decision alteration to schedule or any other reason that may arise due to the fault of any technician or event that may happen throughout the production schedule. A weather contingency figure can be added to the budget estimate for you upon the client's request.

FCAG and/or AUS-TV provide efficient co-production service and production management. However, the companies cannot and do not accept any cost liabilities on behalf of the international producer. (Whether seen or unforeseen in occurrence) Based on the above, we do however assist you with control and production guidance so that you avoid any unwanted scenario’s to the best of our expertise.
